Thank you for stopping by …. let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born and raised in Cicero, New York. We lived on an acre plot of ground that was originally part of my granddaddy’s farm …. it was Mom’s wedding gift. There were six very happy residents there – Dad and Mom, two sisters and a brother. I was the youngest of the bunch (please don’t hold that against me). I graduated high school in 1980 and college in 1984 with a BA Elementary Ed. I taught for several years at a private school and later home-schooled our sons. Married my husband, Lee, in 1983 and in God’s timing two amazing boys were added to our den. Matthew graduated college, 2018 and Joshua is currently a junior at the same college. In 2006, we moved south to NC, where we currently reside.
Because of some personal physical needs, I began exploring alternative approaches to healthcare, natural medicine, and fell in love with what I was learning. I have continued to broaden my learning through educational workshops, conventions, classes and more. Recognizing that I am a complex whole being and each part affects the whole, it is important for me to feed myself both spiritually and physically for optimal wellness. I love helping and sharing with others from the many nuggets I’ve gleaned over the years. The work is in progress for me getting certified as a health and life coach.
From my weight-loss journey beginning in 2013, has blossomed another aspect of lifestyle transformation. Having been on both ends of the teeter-totter, I’ve learned that major changes can only take place with mind shift and internal re-programming. It is my desire to share with the world a path to wellness for the whole person – in body, mind, and soul. They are inseparable companions.
God has created me “fearfully and wonderfully”!
Other items of interest about myself (things I enjoy): babies and children, singing, sewing, reading, canning, creating, cooking, planning and/or helping with social functions, and adventuring with the family …. Life is a blessing!!!
