I promise to keep these 4 promises:
1) Wherever I go I bring a gift. I may bring a compliment, a prayer 🙏🏼 , a trinket, a flower 🌺 …. but, I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.
2) I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, pausing often and noticing nature, kindnesses, smiles and compliments; which, I will gladly receive with a “thank you.”
3) I promise to give hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love, consciously with every encounter, regardless of the brevity.
4) I promise to give, without expectation of reciprocity, from the channels I enrich, because I know I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.
I have had fun and accepted the challenge of practicing these principles …. for that is what they are, principles …. they can be found in God’s Word …. undeniable principles to living a joyful life.
I just “randomly” (nothing is happenstance) came across a free movie access to an amazing story on YouTube. I wasn’t really looking for another story or another segment of time to sit and chill. But, it caught my attention and I took the bait. I am so glad that I did. I watched a story unfold chronicling the despair of a small Western town brow-beaten by difficult times and a kingpin landlord. A request from the children went out for a miracle maker. One young boy “saw” it, “believed” it and sent out a telegraph for it. The answer came in an unexpected package. Small things grew in unlikely places and people …. and miracles multiplied.
I invite you to listen to this wonderfully simple story with a profound message of how one act, one word, one item, one person can create a ripple effect and amazing things happen and multiply. Enjoy the story and soak up the truth. And, then, consider how it can be personalized. At this time in our world 🌎, where can I leave a mark and make a difference however simple it may seem?
Would love to read your thoughts 💭 afterwards.
You have me real curious to watch the movie now. Thanks.
